Committees
The steering committee manages, with committee representatives, and provide duties of care and loyalty that are comparable to the fiduciary duties owed by the members of the board of directors of a corporation. Founding members will be eligible to serve on the steering committee for a term of 12 -24 months. There will be seven seats on the consortium steering committee. All interested founding members are eligible, and, in the event, there are more interested members service on the committee than there are seats, a lottery will occur.
Working groups will be established to oversee the four quadrants of initiatives. The steering committee will review and approve a mission- oriented charter for each working group (each, a “charter”), as well as initiatives developed by the committees.
